Tea Parties have been created just for me. I've decided it. Seriously- what could be better than a bunch of dykes dancing and drinking at 3pm??? I had one of the most entertaining, silly, and fun afternoons EVER last weekend. So much laughter! I even asked someone out to drinks, in person (read: not via the internet!).
Otherwise, good old fashioned dyke fun!
ps- tea parties as in afternoon dance parties with dykes, not like the evil right wing fascists... though now I wonder if I am going to get a ton of weird hits on the google now! haha
Facebook stalking of a friend from another friend.
In depth descriptions of bad kisser categories with Mel T.
Mel T rocks my world and brings the happy.
Today I found out that one of my PhD professors died... This is obviously not happy, but I can still find some moments of happy reflection in it, so here they are:
1- Watching him protest the war years and years into it by himself, outside the library, shuffling along (he could barely walk), in his overalls. He was so committed to peace!
2- Almost getting arrested on the levee because he walked right up to a "keep out! Private Property" sign and said "see that sign? it doesn't mean us!" and just kept watching... oh, and the levee was an oil refinery! haha
3- Laying down on the levee and him telling us "you must feel the levee to know the levee!"
4- Driving by him on his recumbent bike, every day biking to school, even in his late 70's!
5- His beautiful support of all of our work. I wrote my first paper that got accepted as a Top paper in his class.
If I could be just half the professor he was, I will be proud. I will miss him but hope he's raising hell in the next life! :)

Today was fun day- 11.11.11.... the funnest of them all. But it was a very difficult day triggered by a marriage planned for tomorrow. Weddings bring out the crazy...
Malia made it so fucking fun by posting a ton of hilarious fun-time pics from our trip to russia 18 years ago. I am so grateful for her and all the lessons we have learned in 18 years of friendship. So fun for fun-day. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
The tattoo has begun! I got beautiful words from the Book Thief: The journey continued like everything had happened, and the final moth flying away....
