- Watching him protest the war years and years into it by himself, outside the library, shuffling along (he could barely walk), in his overalls. He was so committed to peace!
- Almost getting arrested on the levee because he walked right up to a "keep out! Private Property" sign and said "see that sign? it doesn't mean us!" and just kept watching... oh, and the levee was an oil refinery! haha
- Laying down on the levee and him telling us "you must feel the levee to know the levee!"
- Driving by him on his recumbent bike, every day biking to school, even in his late 70's!
- His beautiful support of all of our work. I wrote my first paper that got accepted as a Top paper in his class.
If I could be just half the professor he was, I will be proud. I will miss him but hope he's raising hell in the next life! :)
